How Forage Filters and Summarizes Your Feed

Reading everything is the job. Surfacing the right part is the product. Forage splits those two in half.

First pass: your keywords decide

You declare interests as keywords. Each one can be turned on or off independently, and each can be inverted as a blacklist term so a subject you are done hearing about stops arriving without you having to unsubscribe from the source that keeps covering it.

Each source then applies its own minimum-relevance floor, which is what stops a chatty source from drowning a quiet one.

Second pass: Forage reads it for you

Items that clear the filter are summarized. Summaries are generated in batches and stored with the article, so the text you read is already there rather than being generated while you wait.

The point is not shorter articles. It is that you can tell in one line whether the piece is worth your next five minutes.

Third pass: the digest

Forage assembles the top-scoring items from the recent past into a digest, delivered on the schedule you pick — daily, weekly, or off.

That is the whole design: the flood is read continuously, and you are interrupted on a cadence you chose.
